Ten to midnight on the last Thursday of the easter break and I'm sitting in my bed eating crisps and texting the majority of my phonebook. I was also writing with ye olde pen and paper! Only because I has left my laptop in the livingroom earlier on that day and my mother wouldn't have been the slightest bit pleased if I switched it on at that time of the day...
It just got me thinking, I was walking home at something past 11 because the last train was cancelled, walking home in the dark with one of my best friends. Just plodding along in life, it was good. But where were the rest of the teenagers? Sitting somewhere else in Helensburgh? Hidden from their parents and the police, sipping on their not-so-classy beverages? Where are they all? Searching the streets for a light and having two's on a cigarette? "Common sense will tell you that the ending will be sad", I've seen them running out of Hermitage Park, crying, and then the other one shouting to her 'come back ye daft cow!'. In Glasgow they stumble out of the taxis.
I don't want to join their little society. No thank you. Cigarettes and lies are not one of my favourite past times, I'll stick to chocolate and self pitty. I've never been part of that clique and I'm happy with the one I'm in.
