We Live This Way.

This blog idea was influenced by a fellow blogger. Not someone I know at all, just one I found through a friend of a friend of a friend... If you want to go have a sneeky wee look, his user name is "benkaye8t4". In the blog of his that I read he brought up the idea that people take pictures of themselves to post them on social networks, gain comments and attract other people, pressumabley of the prefered sex.

He's obviously correct, but I think it's more to do with self confidence. The taking a picture, then editing it a bit, tweeking it, shoving it all over the internet then spamming the bulletin boards with 'PC4PC comment my new dp bitches!' (assuming you actually get comments on the photo, the internet can be a nasty place and might want to leave you out)... It's all a big confindence boost.

Having a picture that looks great is excellent. It's even better when it's of you! But you know it;s really not you. It's make up and lighting and editing an black and white... Take all that off, and you're left with ugly.

To me, having pictures of myself makes me feel better about myself for about 10 minutes. After that, they all start chipping away at my confidence. It's worse when you get people telling you how woooneerful the picture looks. You don't look wonderful, the picture does. What you've done with it is great, but you're not.
